Strength of Aggregation

The United States has been lagging behind in the Broadband race for providing adequate competitive broadband services to America's Heartland only a few years after the race began. Much of this has been caused by inadequate government support. However, private enterprise has also been a contributing factor due to its desire to stifle competition through lobbyist support and greater access to the capital markets. It has been moderately successfulin that many of the small Broadband operators are left to struggle without access to many of the benefits afforded to the larger operators such as capital support from large investors and government support due to small grant and loan request. The Broadband Innovation Fund was designed to remedy this condition through the Strength of Aggregation. Through aggregating resources, all participants can benefit and still remain independent. It takes coordination and organization from a willing group of participants.
